1.1 Your Health Data Stays On Your Device
The substance, drug, and medication names (and their dosages, frequencies, and notes) you enter for the herb-drug interaction educational reference are stored only on your device. This health-related data is never synced, backed up, or uploaded to our servers, and it is not included in the App's optional cloud sync and backup feature — which covers only your non-health content such as garden designs, plants, scans, photos, Light Scout spots, watering reminders, and settings. Because this data stays on your device, it is not copied to other devices and is not recoverable by us if you uninstall the App or reset your device.
2. Plant Identification Risks
MISIDENTIFICATION CAN CAUSE DEATH. AI-powered plant identification is a probability estimate, not a guarantee. The App can and does make mistakes, including confusing toxic species with edible ones.
- You should never consume any wild plant based solely on an identification from this App
- Identification confidence levels are statistical probabilities, not certainty
- Many toxic plants closely resemble edible species (e.g., Death Cap mushrooms resemble edible field mushrooms)
- Environmental factors (lighting, plant maturity, damage, geographic variation) affect identification accuracy
- You should verify identification through multiple independent methods: expert consultation, regional field guides, and botanical keys
- Edibility information, where shown, is informational only, is not a recommendation to consume, and must not be relied upon to decide whether any plant is safe to eat. AI identifications can be wrong, including confusing toxic and edible species.

- Cannot diagnose conditions, prescribe treatments, or assure safety
- Should be independently verified before acting on any health-related information
6. Educational Use — No Medical or Drug Claims
The statements within the App regarding traditional uses of plants and herbal preparations have not been evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
